Responsibilities
- Assist in transportation planning and design for state highway projects
- Perform field inspections and data collection for road conditions and traffic patterns
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and CAD drawings
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications and compliance
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Analyze traffic data and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Support public engagement initiatives for transportation projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- Minimum 2 years of transportation engineering or construction experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
- Valid Indiana Driver's License with clean driving record
- Familiarity with INDOT standards and FHWA regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and occasional overtime
