Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and drafting transportation plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Conduct field surveys and inspections for highway construction and maintenance projects
- Analyze traffic data and prepare detailed engineering reports for decision-making
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on project timelines
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Maintain project documentation and databases using TxDOT's engineering management systems
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in transportation engineering or construction
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Technician Certification
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
