Responsibilities
- Assist in developing transportation improvement plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Conduct field surveys and data collection for highway design projects
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation for state compliance
- Collaborate with engineers on traffic flow analysis and safety improvements
- Manage GIS mapping for infrastructure asset management
- Review contractor submittals for adherence to TxDOT specifications
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 2+ years of CAD/GIS experience with highway design projects
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI ArcGIS
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and MUTCD guidelines
- Ability to obtain Texas Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
