Responsibilities
- Assist in design and drafting of transportation infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Conduct field surveys and inspections for roadways, bridges, and traffic control systems
- Analyze traffic data and prepare engineering reports for compliance with state/federal regulations
- Coordinate with contractors and local agencies during project implementation phases
- Maintain accurate project documentation and databases
- Support public outreach initiatives for transportation improvement projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- Minimum 2 years of transportation engineering or construction inspection experience
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
- Knowledge of TxDOT standards and MUTCD regulations
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
