Responsibilities
- Assist in design and drafting of transportation infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Conduct field surveys and data collection for highway and bridge projects
- Analyze traffic patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Prepare technical reports and permit documentation for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on transportation planning initiatives
- Support construction inspection and quality assurance processes
- Maintain GIS databases for transportation asset management
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 3+ years of CAD/GIS experience with transportation projects
- Nevada Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ESRI ArcGIS, and traffic analysis software
- Familiarity with MUTCD and AASHTO design standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Nevada residency required for state employment
