Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, designing, and overseeing transportation infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD/GIS software
- Conduct field inspections and surveys to ensure project compliance
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies
- Analyze traffic data and recommend improvements for safety and efficiency
- Prepare environmental documentation and permits
- Monitor project timelines and budgets
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of transportation engineering or construction experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS applications
- Texas Class C Driver's License (required for field work)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of TxDOT standards and federal transportation regulations
