Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Conduct field inspections and collect data for project development and construction.
- Use CAD software to create and modify drawings and designs.
- Perform calculations and analysis related to transportation engineering tasks.
- Review and process permit applications for construction activities.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and the public.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for assigned projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of technical experience in transportation engineering or a related field.
- OR, an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of transportation engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
