Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekend highway and bridge maintenance operations across Greater Boston
- Monitor real-time traffic systems and deploy emergency response protocols during weekend incidents
- Oversee weekend construction zone compliance and public safety measures
- Manage weekend transit infrastructure inspections and preventive maintenance scheduling
- Lead cross-agency weekend operations coordination with state/local emergency services
- Prepare weekend operation reports and recommend infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3+ years transportation operations experience
- Valid Class D Massachusetts driver's license (CDL preferred)
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification
- Proficiency in traffic management software (e.g., ArcGIS, TransCAD)
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday) with rotating holidays
- Strong crisis management and decision-making abilities
- FEMA Incident Command System (ICS-100/200) certification
