Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage traffic control systems during weekend events and high-volume periods
- Respond to traffic incidents, accidents, and weather-related emergencies in real-time
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services for incident resolution
- Operate specialized traffic monitoring equipment and software systems
- Conduct weekend infrastructure inspections and report maintenance needs
- Prepare detailed incident reports and operational summaries
- Train weekend support staff on traffic management protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in transportation or public administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in traffic operations, logistics, or public safety
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
- Proficiency with traffic management software and GIS mapping tools
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) certification a plus
