Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation planning projects for urban and rural areas
- Analyze traffic patterns, infrastructure capacity, and community needs
- Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and grant applications
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local government agencies
- Lead public outreach initiatives and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Utilize GIS software, traffic modeling tools, and statistical analysis
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and sustainability standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience (government preferred)
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS), traffic modeling (TransCAD), and data analysis
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Experience with NEPA documentation and grant writing
- Knowledge of Philadelphia-area transportation challenges
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
