Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for Philadelphia metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic patterns, transit systems, and infrastructure needs using GIS and modeling tools
- Prepare grant applications and secure federal/state funding for transportation projects
- Collaborate with municipal agencies, stakeholders, and community organizations
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and compliance reviews
- Present findings to policymakers and the public through reports and presentations
- Manage project timelines and budgets for multimodal transportation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience with NEPA documentation and environmental reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania transportation regulations and funding programs
