Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to screen carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Passenger Screening: Conduct thorough security checks of passengers, ensuring compliance with TSA regulations and procedures.
- Security Enforcement: Enforce all security directives, regulations, and laws to maintain a secure and safe environment at the airport.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with special needs, answer inquiries, and provide clear, helpful guidance to ensure a smooth travel experience.
- Patrol & Monitoring: Patrol airport property to deter security breaches and respond immediately to any security incidents or emergencies.
- Threat Identification: Identify potential security threats or behavioral indicators and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and pass a medical examination.
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
