Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections and quality assurance checks on highway construction projects
- Operate surveying equipment and maintain accurate project documentation
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with TxDOT standards
- Manage traffic control setups and work zone safety protocols
- Analyze traffic data and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant transportation/construction experience
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and survey software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Texas residency required
