Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections ensuring compliance with TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats with decisive action
- Operate state-of-the-art screening equipment including CT scanners and trace detection systems
- Enforce security regulations with professionalism while maintaining excellent passenger relations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security escalations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass federal background check
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn screening technologies
- Successful completion of TSA training academy program
