Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on, and checked baggage for prohibited items using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Identify and resolve security threats or anomalies with precision and professionalism.
- Assist passengers with questions regarding security procedures and prohibited items.
- Maintain a high standard of situational awareness and report suspicious activities immediately.
- Adhere to all TSA regulations, security directives, and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth checkpoint operations.
Qualifications
- United States citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good physical health and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- No felony convictions within the last seven years (or as determined by the agency).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and comprehensive background investigation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends.
