Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for weapons, explosives, and other dangerous items using X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology.
- Enforce security procedures and regulations in accordance with TSA standards and protocols.
- Patrol checkpoint areas to maintain security and order.
- Identify and intercept prohibited items before they reach the secure sterile area of the airport.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, assisting those with special needs and de-escalating difficult situations.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Complete all required security training and certification programs on time.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, medical exam, and drug screen.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Excellent vision, both near and distant, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
