As a Security Screener, you will interact with the traveling public daily. We are looking for candidates who possess high emotional intelligence, patience, and a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray equipment and advanced imaging technology.
- Perform pat-downs and physical searches of individuals and their property when necessary.
- Enforce security regulations and protocols strictly to prevent unauthorized items from entering the sterile area.
- Assist travelers with special needs, ensuring a respectful and accessible screening experience for all.
- Document incidents, discrepancies, and irregularities accurately in security logs and databases.
- Maintain a high standard of physical fitness and personal grooming in uniform.
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a medical examination including a vision and hearing test.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to submit to periodic re-screening and unannounced random drug testing.
