Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines and manual detection techniques
- Operate security equipment and maintain accurate documentation of screening activities
- Enforce TSA security protocols while providing courteous customer service to travelers
- Identify and respond to potential security threats with appropriate escalation procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding security operations and sensitive information
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid Alaska driver's license (if applicable to duty assignments)
