Responsibilities
- Perform passenger and baggage screening using X-ray equipment, walk-through metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology.
- Enforce security protocols and regulations to ensure compliance with federal standards and agency policies.
- Identify potential threats, prohibited items, and dangerous materials with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient checkpoint operations and passenger flow.
- Assist in the orientation and debriefing of travelers regarding security procedures as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a rigorous background investigation and security clearance process.
- Must be able to pass a medical examination, including vision and hearing tests.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs, and walk through security checkpoints.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Badge.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
