Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Operate advanced imaging technology and physical pat-down procedures to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Enforce security directives, regulations, and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to secure areas.
- Communicate effectively with travelers to answer questions and resolve security concerns calmly and professionally.
- Inspect vehicles and cargo to identify potential threats to transportation security.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening.
- Good physical health and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
