Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Conduct thorough physical searches of passengers and carry-on baggage.
- Assist travelers with accessibility needs and provide clear, professional customer service.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve security threats or prohibited items immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure screening checkpoint environment.
- Adhere strictly to TSA security protocols and federal regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow officers to ensure smooth airport operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card).
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, drug screen, and medical assessment.
- Physical fitness required to stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Good vision (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
