Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Perform physical screenings, including pat-downs and body scans, while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Screen passengers and cargo in accordance with TSA security directives and protocols.
- Document screening results and report any irregularities or security breaches immediately to supervisors.
- Assist travelers with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and security questionnaire.
- Excellent vision, including the ability to read X-ray monitors clearly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
