Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo at checkpoints using X-ray technology and metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and searches of individuals and property in accordance with TSA security protocols.
- Operate and monitor security screening equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency during peak travel times.
- Assist passengers by answering questions, providing directions, and resolving issues calmly and professionally.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness to ensure the safety and security of the transportation hub.
- Adhere to all federal laws, regulations, and TSA policies regarding security screening procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must pass a thorough background check, including criminal history and fingerprinting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and pat-downs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
