Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, property, and carry-on baggage for prohibited items and security threats.
- Operate advanced screening technologies, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology.
- Identify and report any irregularities or suspicious behavior to TSA supervisors.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining strict security protocols and procedures.
- Ensure the efficient flow of passengers through screening checkpoints to minimize delays.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, laws, and regulations regarding national security.
- Perform bag checks and pat-downs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required for employment.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (requires passing a background investigation).
- Excellent vision (corrected or uncorrected) and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Ability to pass a medical examination to ensure physical fitness for the role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
