Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and their carry-on baggage for weapons, explosives, and other prohibited items using X-ray equipment and hand-held wands.
- Conduct physical searches of passengers and their belongings to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public, de-escalating situations and explaining procedures clearly.
- Document all screening actions, incidents, and observations accurately in security logs.
- Adhere to all TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
- Assist in the management of passenger flow and queue management during peak travel times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and medical assessment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
