Responsibilities
- Perform security screening operations for passengers, carry-on luggage, and property using advanced imaging technology and walk-through metal detectors.
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and document verification to identify prohibited items and security threats.
- Adhere to all TSA security directives and protocols to ensure the safety of the airport environment.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and composure when interacting with the public, including individuals with diverse backgrounds and languages.
- Report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or equipment malfunctions immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Collaborate with fellow officers and supervisors to ensure efficient checkpoint operations and minimal passenger wait times.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including vision and hearing tests.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods, including in all weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
