Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and checked baggage using state-of-the-art imaging technology and manual inspection methods.
- Enforce security regulations and protocols strictly to identify potential threats and prevent unauthorized items from entering secure areas.
- Interpret images and assess passenger behavior to determine if further screening is necessary, demonstrating high attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, answering questions clearly and maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Collaborate with fellow security officers and supervisors to maintain efficient security checkpoint operations and workflow.
- Remain alert and ready to respond to emergency situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history and fingerprint check.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug screening.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
