Responsibilities
- Passenger Screening: Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to detect prohibited items in carry-on luggage and on passengers.
- Baggage Inspection: Perform thorough screening of checked and carry-on baggage to identify potential threats.
- Security Patrols: Monitor security checkpoints and terminal areas to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Threat Identification: Visually and technically identify weapons, explosives, and other dangerous items.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers professionally while maintaining strict security standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report malfunctions in security screening equipment and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Background Check: Must be willing and able to undergo a thorough background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50 lbs, and pass a medical exam.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
