Responsibilities
- Perform security screening operations at airport checkpoints to prevent the boarding of prohibited items and unauthorized individuals.
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment and metal detectors to detect threats.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and body searches as required by security protocols.
- Verify traveler identification documents and boarding passes against flight manifests.
- Identify and report suspicious behavior, unattended packages, or potential security threats to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkpoint environment.
- Assist passengers with inquiries and provide professional customer service during high-traffic periods.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a thorough background investigation, including criminal history and drug screening.
- Must be willing and able to undergo a medical examination and obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
