Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and checked baggage using advanced imaging technology and physical inspection.
- Operate X-ray machines and other security screening equipment to detect prohibited items and potential threats.
- Interact professionally and courteously with travelers from diverse backgrounds while enforcing security regulations.
- Identify and report security breaches or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and adhere to strict safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in crowd control and passenger flow management during peak travel times.
- Complete all required training and certification programs to stay current with security standards.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screen.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting bags.
- Excellent vision (corrected if necessary) and attention to detail.
- No major criminal history or recent drug use.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
