Responsibilities
- Conduct security screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and property using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and physical pat-downs.
- Identify and intercept prohibited items and potential threats to aviation security.
- Maintain situational awareness in high-pressure environments and adhere to TSA protocols at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations courteously and professionally.
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure efficient flow of passengers while maintaining strict security standards.
- Document security incidents, anomalies, or irregularities according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment in proper working order.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a federal background investigation and drug screening.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
