Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray equipment and magnetometers to screen passengers and luggage for prohibited items.
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property in accordance with established protocols.
- Identify and stop potential threats to aviation security and public safety.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with passengers to explain screening procedures.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness during all screening operations.
- Adhere to all TSA regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, drug screen, and background investigation.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing capabilities.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
