Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray machines and physical inspection.
- Monitor security checkpoints and maintain a high level of vigilance to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify threats and potential security risks through observation, scanning, and inspection techniques.
- Interact professionally with travelers to explain screening procedures, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all TSA regulations, laws, and policies at all times.
- Conduct thorough bag checks and pat-downs when necessary to maintain security standards.
- Report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, drug screen, and background investigation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Basic computer literacy is a plus.
