Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and CT scanning equipment to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Conduct passenger screenings, including walk-through metal detectors and physical pat-downs, in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security checkpoints to identify suspicious behavior or potential threats.
- Adhere strictly to all TSA security directives, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate clearly with passengers to explain screening procedures and address inquiries.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain efficient checkpoint operations.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- No felony convictions involving drugs or violence (specifically excluded under Title 49 USC Section 1142).
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Normal color vision (corrected vision is acceptable).
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
