Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo at security checkpoints in accordance with TSA regulations.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and advanced imaging technology to identify threats.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and physical searches of passengers and property as necessary.
- Identify and report any prohibited items or potential security threats immediately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate clearly with passengers of all backgrounds.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and security clearance process.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to make quick, sound decisions.
