Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate walk-through metal detectors, body scanners, and X-ray equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with travelers to maintain a secure environment while providing excellent customer service.
- Security Patrol: Patrol assigned areas to monitor security checkpoints and respond quickly to security breaches or irregularities.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor X-ray monitors and alert supervisors to potential threats or malfunctions in screening equipment.
- Protocol Adherence: Strictly adhere to all TSA directives, federal regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Documentation: Complete required paperwork, reports, and training modules accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Lawful Permanent Resident status is not sufficient for the initial hiring process).
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history and fingerprinting.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, walk continuously, and lift objects up to 50 lbs. Must pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
