Your Mission:
You will be responsible for the security of passengers, property, and aircraft at the airport. This involves operating screening equipment, inspecting luggage, and interacting with travelers from all walks of life. Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on, and checked baggage for prohibited items, weapons, explosives, and other dangerous materials.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology accurately and efficiently.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures in a professional, firm, and courteous manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, assisting those with special needs or questions.
- Assist in emergency response situations and perform physical screening procedures (pat-downs) as required.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, security policies, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Permanent Resident Card / Green Card).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
