Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and their property using X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Enforce security directives and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct secondary screening procedures, including pat-downs and bag checks, when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and physical fitness throughout your shift.
- Document all screening actions and observe and report any suspicious behavior or incidents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while upholding strict security protocols.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret clearance (background check required).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- No criminal history that would disqualify you from federal employment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
