Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and manual detection techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and procedures
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections when necessary
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during the screening process
- Document security incidents and report suspicious activities to supervisors
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and equipment performance
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for location-specific duties)
