Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Identify and respond to potential security threats through behavioral observation and anomaly detection
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities using digital reporting systems
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams during security incidents
- Maintain operational readiness by adhering to TSA Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (required)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must pass TSA Pre-employment screening including fingerprinting
