Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and property at security checkpoints using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Identify and prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas of the airport.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public while enforcing security regulations.
- Conduct thorough searches of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to ensure compliance.
- Respond quickly and effectively to security breaches or suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with fellow screeners and supervisors to maintain a safe and efficient screening environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a medical examination, including vision and color perception tests.
- Undergo a thorough background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English proficiently.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting bags, and pat-downs.
