Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced detection technology
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional and courteous interactions with travelers
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities according to established procedures
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other screening equipment efficiently
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to ensure seamless security operations
- Participate in continuous training to stay current on security threats and protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency and customer service experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
