Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Operate advanced security technology to detect prohibited items
- Communicate security procedures clearly to diverse travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
- Adhere strictly to TSA protocols and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Proficient in English (reading/writing/speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer skills for report documentation
