Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection equipment
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections
- Communicate security protocols professionally to travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Adhere to TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
