Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, including council minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and public documents
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and election administration processes
- Provide administrative support to City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Ensure compliance with Texas open records laws and municipal governance regulations
- Coordinate public records requests and maintain document management systems
- Administer oaths of office and serve as custodian of the city seal
- Lead records digitization initiatives for improved accessibility and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or public sector administrative experience
- Strong knowledge of Texas Local Government Code and election procedures
- Proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to work flexible hours including evenings
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
