Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response protocols for cyber-attacks targeting critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Implement NIST cybersecurity frameworks across Department of Homeland Security platforms
- Maintain SIEM systems and analyze security logs for anomalous activity
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices
- Prepare compliance reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in threat detection and incident response tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.)
- Knowledge of FISMA and CMMC compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical reporting
