Responsibilities
- Manage complex veteran benefit cases with strict federal compliance requirements
- Coordinate with VA medical facilities, legal teams, and community partners
- Process disability compensation claims and pension applications
- Conduct eligibility assessments for veteran housing and education programs
- Maintain confidential case documentation in VA systems
- Provide crisis intervention for urgent veteran situations
- Train veterans and families on available VA resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of case management experience
- VA certification or equivalent federal benefits knowledge
- Proficiency in VA VBA and VBMS systems
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with veterans' advocacy programs
- Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
