Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefit claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Provide expert guidance to veterans and their families on available benefits and services
- Conduct comprehensive interviews to gather and verify application information
- Collaborate with medical and legal teams to resolve complex benefit cases
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Develop and deliver educational presentations on veterans' benefits
- Analyze trends in benefit utilization to improve service delivery
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level
- Strong knowledge of veterans' benefits programs and regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and empathy
- Proficiency in case management systems and MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities for complex benefit cases
- Experience working with diverse populations including veterans
