Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal, state, and local regulatory compliance across 15+ municipal departments
- Conduct comprehensive audits and risk assessments for public infrastructure projects
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for 500+ employees
- Collaborate with legal counsel to update policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations with corrective action plans
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for the Mayor's Office and City Council
- Manage vendor contracts ensuring adherence to procurement regulations
- Stay current on evolving government compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field required
- 5+ years of government compliance or regulatory experience
- Strong knowledge of Tennessee state and federal regulations
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CGAP) highly preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced proficiency in compliance software and data analytics
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
