Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of server environments and network architecture.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FISMA).
- System Optimization: Proactively troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
- User Support: Serve as a technical lead for escalated support tickets and conduct user training sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration within a government or enterprise setting.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and TCP/IP networking.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective resolutions under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
